A thoughtful beginning
Start with one person. One note.
1. Write something small
Choose one thing you would like someone to know: a memory, a thank-you, or a practical household instruction. Write in your own voice. Keep your own copy, and leave passwords and financial credentials out.
2. Choose the right inbox
Add the recipient’s name and email address. Check the spelling carefully and confirm that it is an inbox they still use. Tell them you are making a plan, so an eventual message will not arrive without context.
3. Pick a realistic check-in
Choose a check-in interval you can maintain. Review the grace period and the consequences of missing reminders. Keep your account email up to date and check that reminders can reach you before relying on a live service.
4. Review before arming
Read your words again, check the recipient, and review the schedule. A draft is not an active switch. Arm only when the details are correct and the service has been configured and verified for use.
5. Keep your plan current
Check in from the app and wait for confirmation. Update addresses when they change. Pause a switch when you need to stop its schedule, and review your plan whenever your circumstances change.
